Import a CSV
Bring rows from a spreadsheet into Baseloop: start a new table from a CSV file, or add the file's rows to a table you already have. A file can hold up to 1,000,000 rows.
Start a new table from a CSV
Open any table in the workspace where the new table should go, click + at the top of the sidebar and choose CSV file.

Drop your file on Drop a CSV here or click to browse. Baseloop names the table after the file, so change the Table name if you want another one, and check the preview: every column comes in as text.

Click Create table. The table opens with one column per header in your file and one row per line.

You can also attach the file in a chat and ask Bit to build the table for you.
Add rows to a table you already have
Open the table, click Table settings (the gear at the right of the header) and choose Import CSV.

Drop your file in. Baseloop matches each column in the file to the table column with the same name. Pick another column from a match's dropdown, clear it with ×, or click Reset to start over. If your column names are not on the first line of the file, click Row 1 and pick the line that holds them.
Click Import rows. The button shows how many rows will come in, for example Import 2 rows.

If the table has columns set to Auto-run on new rows, they run on the imported rows, and paid actions use credits. Your past uploads are under Settings → Imports.
Common questions
How many rows can one file have?
Up to 1,000,000. For a bigger file, split it and import the parts one after the other.
My file has a title or notes above the column names. What do I do?
When adding rows to an existing table, click Row 1 on the file and pick the line that holds the column names. Everything above it is skipped.
Where do I find a file I imported before?
Go to Settings → Imports. It lists your past uploads.
