Connect Dynamics 365

Connect Microsoft Dynamics 365 to import accounts, contacts and leads into tables, and to look up, create and update Dynamics 365 records from your tables.

Before you start

  • A Dynamics 365 environment in Microsoft's commercial cloud. Government clouds can't be connected.

  • A Microsoft work account with access to that environment.

  • Your Microsoft tenant may ask for a one-time admin approval the first time anyone connects (see If something goes wrong).

Connect it

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations and open Dynamics 365, under CRM.

The Dynamics 365 card on the Integrations page
  2. Click Connect.

The Dynamics 365 page with Connect highlighted
  3. Click Sign in to Dynamics 365. A Microsoft window opens.

Connect Dynamics 365, with Sign in to Dynamics 365 highlighted
  4. Sign in with your Microsoft work account and accept the permissions. In Choose a Dynamics 365 environment, pick the environment and click Continue. The window reads Dynamics 365 connected and closes by itself.

How you'll know it worked

Your environment appears under 1 account, named after the environment and the person who connected it.

The connected Dynamics 365 account

Use Connect another account to add a second environment; each Dynamics 365 column then lets you pick which one it uses.

What you can do with it

  • Import records: open Create table and choose Dynamics 365 under Sources. Import records from a saved view, from a marketing list, or by custom criteria.

  • Keep Dynamics 365 updated: in the Actions panel, under CRM & exports: Create record, Update record, Lookup record, Create activity and Get activities.

Create record works on every paid plan. Imports and the other columns come with the Pro plan and the free trial; on Starter they show the Pro plan next to them.

Reconnect

If Dynamics 365 ends the connection, for example when the user who connected it leaves or loses access to the environment, the account shows Reconnect required and Dynamics 365 columns stop running.

A Dynamics 365 account that needs reconnecting

Click Reconnect and sign in again.

If something goes wrong

Microsoft says admin approval is required. Your tenant lets only admins approve new apps. A Request admin approval button appears on the Dynamics 365 page: a Microsoft tenant admin clicks it and approves once. The window then reads Admin approval complete; start the connection again with Connect.

"No accessible Dynamics 365 environments were found." The Microsoft account you signed in with has no access to a Dynamics 365 environment. Sign in with the account you use for Dynamics 365, or ask your admin for access.

The Microsoft window closed, but nothing appears in Baseloop. Your browser may have blocked the window. Allow pop-ups for Baseloop and click Connect again.
