Connect Salesforce

Connect Salesforce to import accounts, contacts, leads and opportunities into tables, and to look up, create and update Salesforce records from your tables.

Before you start

  • A Salesforce production org. Sandboxes can't be connected.

  • A Salesforce edition with API access: Enterprise, Unlimited, Performance or Developer. Professional needs Salesforce's API add-on.

Note: Salesforce imports and columns are in beta. They show Beta next to their name.

Connect it

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations and open Salesforce, under CRM.

The Salesforce card on the Integrations page
  2. Click Connect.

The Salesforce page with Connect highlighted
  3. Click Sign in to Salesforce. A Salesforce window opens.

Connect Salesforce, with Sign in to Salesforce highlighted
  4. Sign in to Salesforce if it asks, then click Allow. The window closes by itself.

How you'll know it worked

Your Salesforce org appears under 1 account, named by the user who connected it and the org's ID.

The connected Salesforce org

Use Connect another account to add a second org; each Salesforce column then lets you pick which one it uses.

What you can do with it

  • Import records: open Create table and choose Salesforce under Sources. Import accounts, contacts, leads or opportunities from a list view, or by criteria.

  • Keep Salesforce updated: in the Actions panel, under CRM & exports: Create object, Update object, Lookup object and Create activity.

Create object works on every paid plan. Imports and the other columns come with the Pro plan and the free trial; on Starter they show the Pro plan next to them.

Reconnect

If Salesforce ends the connection, for example when the user who connected it is deactivated or changes their password, the account shows Reconnect required and Salesforce columns stop running.

A Salesforce account that needs reconnecting

Click Reconnect and sign in again.

If something goes wrong

The Salesforce window says API access isn't enabled. Your Salesforce edition or user doesn't have API access. Ask your Salesforce admin to enable the API Enabled permission for your user, or to connect with a user that has it.

I'm signing in to a sandbox and it fails. Only production orgs can be connected.

The Salesforce window closed, but nothing appears in Baseloop. Your browser may have blocked the window. Allow pop-ups for Baseloop and click Connect again.
