Run a column only on some rows

A run condition tells a column which rows to run on, for example only companies with a domain, or only people whose email was found. Rows that don't match are skipped.

Add a run condition

  1. Click the column's header and choose Run conditions.

The column menu with Run conditions highlighted
  2. Click Add filter. Pick the column to check, then the test, such as is not empty. Add a value if the test asks for one.

  3. Click Save.

To combine tests, click Add filter again. The second test starts with and (every test must match); click it to switch to or (any test may match). Add group nests a set of tests inside another.

How you'll know it worked

The column's menu shows how many conditions it has next to Run conditions.

The column menu showing 1 condition

The next time the column runs, rows that don't match show Run condition not met instead of running.

A row skipped with Run condition not met

Run conditions apply to every run of the column: the ones you start, automatic runs and scheduled runs. You also find them in the column's settings, under Run settings, as Add run condition; turning that switch off keeps the conditions but ignores them.

Good conditions to start with

  • Find a work email only when Domain is not empty.

  • Research a company only when Enrich company has results.

  • Send a row to your CRM only when the AI agent's score is above a threshold. Give the score its own column first (see "Add a value from a result as its own column").

If something goes wrong

Every row says "Run condition not met". Check how the tests are joined: with and, a row that fails any one test is skipped. Switch to or if any test should be enough.

Rows were skipped even though the value is there. The column the condition reads may not have run yet on those rows. Run that column first, then this one.

I want to run a skipped row anyway. Change or remove the condition, then choose All empty & failed rows from the column's run button.
