Working with tables

Tables live in workspaces. Create a table, find it again on the Tables page, rename or move it, and restore it from the trash if you delete it by mistake.

Create a table

  1. Open any table in the workspace where the new table should go, then click + at the top of the sidebar. Outside a workspace, the same button creates a new workspace with the table in it.

  2. Pick how the table starts:

    • CSV file, From a template or Blank table, under Start.

    • A source under Sources, such as HubSpot, Sales Navigator or an inbound webhook, to keep pulling rows in.

Choose the source now: a table's source is set when the table is created and cannot be added later. After that, a table can still refresh the source it has, receive rows sent from another table, and take rows you add or import.

You can also start from the Tables page, with Blank, LinkedIn, CRM, CSV or Chat next to Start a table from. Chat asks Bit to build the table with you.

Find a table

The Tables page lists every workspace and its tables. Open a workspace to see its tables, search by name, or switch between All, Recents, Mine and Shared.

Rename, move and organize

  • Rename a table: click its name in the table's header, or choose Edit from the ··· menu on its row.

  • Move a table: drag it to another workspace on the Tables page, or choose Move to workspace from its menu in the sidebar.

  • Workspaces: a workspace's ··· menu has Rename, Duplicate, Manage access and Delete.

Delete and restore

Choose Delete from a table's ··· menu. Deleted tables, workspaces and columns wait in More → Trash for 30 days. Hover the row and click the restore arrow to bring it back, or the bin to delete it for good.

Common questions

Can I add a source to a table I already have?

No. Create a new table with that source, then add a Send to Table column to it that sends its rows into the table you already have.

I deleted a table by mistake.

Open More → Trash, hover the table and restore it. It comes back with its columns and rows, as long as it was deleted less than 30 days ago.
